Today the team traveled to Quetzal to see the site for the new church. We were able to get a vision from the mountain side of the church plant located in a new neighborhood being built in Quetzal. The lot purchased through the giving of Grace and other churches is located on a main street in the middle of a large neighborhood. The team took time with Aaron and prayed for the future construction work, children’s ministries, and Word of God preached from this new site.

We then traveled back to the Sumpango church to prepare for kids club and youth services. Aaron had called the school director and got permission for us to visit one of the local schools. The students performed authentic dance, contemporary dance, a karate team performed and the band played. Afterwards there was time for play on the soccer field and basketball court. Our Pastor attempted a goal from mid field only to end up sitting instead of scoring much to the joy and laughter of the students.

After the school visit, several members passed out flyer’s while others prepared for kids club. A good turnout allowed many of our team to help with crafts, games, and listen to a great lesson for the kids.

The ladies then joined Christine for a ladies discipleship class she is leading at the church. It was a special blessing for all the ladies. They also made a cake and celebrated a birthday for one of the ladies in the class.

Jason became construction boss one more time as the final shovels of dirt were thrown on the ditch and sealer added 4′ up the wall from the ground to most of the wall. It was fun to work with Pablo, the local brick layer on the project.

The evening youth service culminated a busy day and was well attended. Many of our team got involved in the game time and object lessons. Pastor Phil shared a devotion and our team enjoyed the fellowship with the teens from the church.

Tomorrow concludes our trip with a visit to the market followed by an afternoon in Sunday School and an evening service. Dale will be giving an object lesson to a Sunday School class. The music group will be singing and Pastor Kevin will be sharing a few word. Pastor Heime, the local pastor, working under the guidance of Aaron and Jerry will be sharing God’s Word with us.

Your prayers have been greatly appreciated. The team is in good health, but have had an extra blessing having Rachel attending to some blisters and other very minor medical needs. Please continue to pray for us during this final day of service with our missionary and for safety in travel as we return home to you on Monday.
